Grace Muhimpundu is a Social Development Specialist in the Africa Region, where she works on a number of countries, including the DRC, Republic of Congo, Cameroon, Rwanda, Burundi, Malawi, Ethiopia, Zambia, and others. She has prior experience with the World Bank in the rural and agricultural sector with the World Bank in Rwanda and on International Trade/WTO at the Geneva World Bank office. Prior to joining the bank, she headed “Children Affected by HIV/AIDS” (CHABHA) in Rwanda and Burundi, an NGO that supported over 3500 poor and vulnerable children and their households.
Grace holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies from the Oslo University College, and Master’s Degree in Development Studies from the Graduate Institute of Geneva. She is a dual citizen of Burundi and Norway; born in Burundi, resided in Kenya, grew up in Norway, and undertook various study and work assignments in South Africa, Tanzania, Rwanda, and the USA. Her interests include social activism, travel, culture, photography, and hiking.
