Graham Smith is a transport economist. He retired recently from the World Bank but continues to work part time. During his three decades in the Bank he has worked in all regions as well as the center, ending as transport sector coordinator in China. Recently he co-authored, under Jean-Francois Arvis, a Bank book "Connecting Landlocked Developing Countries to Markets." He is British but also works in French and Spanish. He has an MBA from Harvard University.
