Gregory Smith is a Senior Economist in the World Bank’s Global Practice for Macroeconomics and Fiscal Management. His main professional and academic interests lie in macroeconomic management, fiscal and debt sustainability, and structural policies for inclusive growth and poverty reduction. With the World Bank his country experience includes: Zambia, Vietnam, Mongolia, Ghana, Gabon, China, Liberia, Zimbabwe, Cameroon, Tanzania and Sierra Leone. He has a doctorate in economics from the University of Nottingham in the UK.
