Guillermo, a Dominican national, is tasked with ramping up PPIAF’s engagement on climate resilience and environmental sustainability. He brings 10 years of experience leading climate and disaster resilience assessments, managing large infrastructure projects, and providing advisory services on integration of resilience in clients’ portfolios. He has a proven track record in design and implementation of disaster reduction projects and climate adaptation for infrastructure and serves as a climate sector focal point in PPIAF. Prior to joining PPIAF, he worked in private engineering consulting and advisory firms in the United States and the Dominican Republic.
Guillermo was a Fulbright Scholarship recipient and completed his M.S. in civil engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a licensed civil engineer in the Dominican Republic, California, and New York.
