He Wang is an Economist with the Digital and AI Vertical at the World Bank Group. His research focuses on the impact of AI on labor markets, firm-level digital and AI adoption, and barriers to AI diffusion in developing countries. Prior to joining the Digital Vice Presidency, he worked at the Development Research Group, where his work spanned migration, labor markets, economic geography, and political economy. He has published in the Journal of Development Economics, World Development, Journal of Economics and Business, and Journal of Government and Economics. He received both his Ph.D. in Economics and his Bachelor of Science in Physics from Peking University.
