Habiburahman Sahibzada is an Economist with Macroeconomics, Trade and Investment Global Practice based in Washington DC. He focuses on researching fiscal policy in developing countries with a focus on fragile- and conflict-affected countries. He previously worked as country economist for Afghanistan where he led several publications on Afghanistan’s economy and served as a team member for several advisory and lending operations. Before joining the World Bank in 2018, Habib has worked as an Economist focusing on macroeconomics and fiscal policy issues with the government of Afghanistan, USAID, and UNDP. Habib has MA in International Economics and MBA and was a former Fulbright Scholar.
