Hafiz Zainudeen is currently a member of the World Bank team that's preparing the Sri Lanka's next Country Partnership Strategy, As its youngest member, he enjoys providing the team with a youth perspective and insights on Sri Lankan youth during discussions and deliberations. With a passion for sustainable development, he is also keen on exploring on how, and to what extent, the fusion of the disciplines of law and economics can be used to ensure long term and equitable development. He holds a degree in economics from the University of Colombo and a degree in law from the University of London and is also due to be enrolled as an Attorney-at-law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka shortly. During his spare time he enjoys camping and mountain biking and is also an avid kite surfer and scuba diver.
