Senior Digital Development Specialist

Hania Kronfol is a Senior Digital Development Specialist in the Digital Transformation Vice Presidency where she focuses on global knowledge and operational projects to grow the ICT industry and support digital jobs in developing countries. In her prior role, Hania was a Senior Private Sector Specialist with the Investment Climate Unit of the Prosperity Vice Presidency. Since joining in 2012, she led the development of novel research and supported operational programs to help governments implement legal, regulatory and policy reforms to mobilize private investment. Her areas of expertise cover digital economy, digital skills and jobs, FDI–led development and linkages, investment promotion and fiscal incentives. Before joining the World Bank, Hania was a strategic risk management consultant at Good Harbor International, based in the UAE. In prior roles, she analyzed international development issues at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and the Brookings Institution. Hania holds an MPP from Harvard Kennedy School and a BA from Cornell.
