Haoyu Wu is an Economist in the World Bank’s Poverty and Equity Global Practice, where his work involves poverty and inequality analysis, welfare distribution, and data systems. His main research interest is empirical microeconomics with a focus on poverty, statistical and econometrical methodologies, and the development of computational tools for data analysis. He contributed to building analytical portals including the Poverty and Equity Briefs, Macro Poverty Outlook and managing the data harmonization and quality control process for the Global data Monitoring Database. Haoyu holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Clark University.
