Hartmut Lehmann is Professor of Economics in the department of economics at the University of Bologna and Program Director of the IZA research area "Labor Markets in Emerging and Transition Countries." He teaches courses in macroeconomics, transition economics and economic policy in Bologna. He is an IZA Fellow since September 1999. He is also a consultant to the World Bank and the OECD, and has been a consultant to UNDP. He was president of the Association of Comparative Economic Studies in the year 2013.
