Heather Lyne de Ver manages the Developmental Leadership Program (DLP), an international research initiative exploring leadership and the politics of development. She has spent seven years with DLP researching how leadership promotes or hinders development outcomes. Heather’s particular research interests include theories of developmental leadership, the impact of leadership training on developmental outcomes, and the relationship between research, evidence and policy. She has written DLP papers on conceptions of leadership, on leadership, politics and development, and on leadership development programs. Heather is based at DLP’s research hub at the University of Birmingham (UK).
