Hellen is a Girls and Women’s Empowerment (GWE) Senior Specialist at the World Bank Group Health, Nutrition, and Population Global Practice, providing technical support on analytical and operation work to advance girls and women empowerment agenda across five countries: Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Ethiopia.
With over a decade of experience in public health programming and international development, Hellen has strong technical expertise in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), adolescent health and gender equality. Prior to joining the World Bank, she worked Medtronic Labs, Marie Stopes Tanzania and DFID/FCDO Tanzania.
Hellen holds a Master’s Degree in Gender and Development studies from University of Nairobi, complimented by a Bachelor' Degree in Community Development from Daystar University.
