Helly Dharmesh Mehta is a Consultant with the Social Protection and Labor team of the World Bank. She provides analytical and operational support across four regions, with a focus on enhancing delivery systems of social protection programs through robust evaluations and policy dialog. She also contributes to migration and labor markets projects in Europe and Central Asia Region. Before joining the World Bank, Helly served as a junior economic policy advisor to the UK Treasury and the UK Department for Education. She has extensive grassroots experience that includes leading social protection initiatives during COVID-19 with Pratham Education Foundation in India and building foundational skills among children from underserved communities as a Teach for India fellow. Helly holds a Master of Public Administration with majors in Economic Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Her work is driven by a passion for harnessing the intersection of social protection and education to build human capital.
