Henri Fortin is an international expert in corporate governance, reporting, audit oversight and state-owned enterprises (SOE), with extensive work experience in Africa, Asia, Europe, Central and Latin America and the Caribbean. He has extensive experience in World Bank financing operations, advisory services and analytics. Within the Governance Global Practice, he leads the Global Solutions Group on SOE and Corporate Governance.
From 2011 to 2016, he headed the World Bank’s Centre for Financial Reporting Reform. He also led accounting and auditing assessments under the Reports on the Observance of Standards and Codes program and participated in several Financial Sector Assessment Program missions. Before joining the World Bank in 2003 he worked for 13 years in a large international audit network, and spent almost two years as deputy commercial attaché of the French Embassy in Brazil. He holds a master’s degree in management from HEC Paris.
