Henry Stemmler is a consultant in the Poverty and Equity Global Practice at the World Bank. His research interests include poverty and labor markets in developing countries, and how these are impacted by global trade and climate change. Prior to joining the World Bank, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Food Systems Economics and Policy Group (FSEP) at ETH Zürich, and he worked as an Economist at the International Labor Organization and as a consultant for the World Bank and Oxfam. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Göttingen.
