Hideaki Matsuoka is a senior economist at Policy Research Institute, Ministry of Finance in Japan. He was an economist in the World Bank’s Prospects Group. He worked on the semi-annual corporate flagship Global Economic Prospect report that presents the World Bank’s view of the global economy, in addition to other analytical publications. He has published on a wide variety of topics and managed the modeling frameworks for the economic forecast and simulation. Prior to joining the World Bank in 2016, he was a senior economist at Japan Center for Economic Research.
