Himanshi Jain is a Social Protection Specialist in the Pensions, Disability and Social Insurance GSG of the Global Social Protection & Jobs team at the World Bank. She joined the Bank in 2017 and has since worked in technical and operational roles in South Asia, East Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. Her interests include evaluation of formal sector pension schemes, formulating policies to expanding coverage to informal sector, and research on aging and healthier working lives. Himanshi holds a master's in public policy from Duke University, a master's in Quantitative Economics from Indian Statistical Institute and is a member of professional actuarial societies in India and the U.S.
