Hoa is the Senior Urban Specialist in the Bank’s Vietnam office, working on various projects and programs on rural water supply and sanitation in the country. Among her many accomplishments, she worked on integrating many of the valuable lessons learned from the Red River Delta Rural Water Supply and Sanitation (RRDRWASS) project into the “Program for Results” (PforR), which links funds directly to results.
Hoa also works with the Women’s Union and micro-finance institutions to design and implement successful micro-finance credit activities to help poor households in both rural and urban context.
Before joining the World Bank in 1999, she worked with academic and research institutions such as the Hanoi Medical School, and national and international NGOs such as DANIDA. Hoa speaks Vietnamese, English and currently resides in Hanoi.
