Hoda Youssef is the Lead Country Economist for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Countries. In her role, she supports the World Bank’s efforts to promote evidence-based policy making and institutional strengthening. She led core analytical work on a wide range of core analytics to inform macroeconomic, fiscal, private sector and structural reforms.
Prior to joining the World Bank, she worked in several international and academic institutions in the MENA region, Europe and the USA, including the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs of Princeton University.
She holds Ph.D. in Economics from Sciences-Po Paris, France.
