Based in Washington, D.C., Iain is the lead economist for private equity funds at the IFC and a member of IFC’s Funds Investment Committee. With over 15 years of experience in economic impact assessment and analysis, Iain supports the IFC to design transactions that enable investment decisions to balance development/social impact with financial returns. He also has a diverse skill set derived from experience in international institutions, academia, and the private sector with global consulting firms, PwC and KPMG. Iain has also worked extensively with governments and the private sector to understand skills needs and translate these needs into the design of training models, including as Head of Industry Intelligence at Skills for Australia, the body appointed by the Australian Government to oversee industry engagement and design of vocational training packages.
