Iana Barenboim is an economist, specialized in business development, gender, economic empowerment and entrepreneurship. Coming from the investment sector, she opened her first start up at 21. She developed and implemented business strategies for several organizations, including start-ups, civil society and small and medium enterprises (SMEs), holding C-level positions. Barenboim is now leading the design and the management of MUVA projects related to private sector and gender, including work with the urban informal economy, youth and employability, SMEs, access to finance and technology. Previously, she has been Director of Olabi, an NGO in Brazil focused on increasing diversity in technology and the maker culture.
