Ibrahim Dajani is the new Practice Manager for Transport for Eastern and Southern Africa Region as of February 1, 2026, based in the World Bank Group (WBG) regional offices in Nairobi, Kenya. Prior to this position, Ibrahim held the same position for the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan since 2021, based in Amman, Jordan.
Ibrahim has over 25 years of World Bank experience in formulating transport strategies, designing and implementing transport and infrastructure reconstruction and development operations and institutional building technical assistance. He leads a team of professionals in conducting strategic dialogue with Bank’s client governments and incentivizes his team in promoting effective integrated and innovative solutions through close collaboration with other practices, the Transport global knowledge team and across the WBG’s institutions. He is one of the 2024 “Be the Values Award” honorees recognized for embodying the WBG's core values: Impact, Integrity, Respect, Teamwork, and Innovation; and one of FY26 Mentor Service Award Recipients. Ibrahim holds a Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Civil Engineering with focus on Transport & Environment from California State University Long Beach.
