Ida has expertise in the legal, and regulatory side of the industry, with ten years of experience in the field of procurement, government tender processes, telecommunications, energy, and broadcasting regulation. Prior to joining the World Bank, she was a senior associate at Clifford Chance London in the antitrust and merger department. Before that, she was the Director for Legal, Licensing, and Enforcement at the Gambia Public Utilities Regulatory Authority. Thanks to her strong belief in the telecommunications industry as a driving force in bridging development gaps in Africa, she has a passion for developing comprehensive legal and regulatory frameworks in the sector.
