Iftikhar Malik currently works with the World Bank Social Protection and Jobs team in the Africa Region Human Development Group, based in Washington DC. With 20 plus years of experience in the public policy, design and delivery systems for safety net programs, and human capital development interventions, he has led various social protection and human development operations in the South Asia and Africa Regions, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kenya, and Rwanda. Besides his role in various operational engagement and knowledge products, he is currently leading a multi-sectoral, programmatic human capital development policy financing operation to support the Government of Rwanda in advancing inclusive growth through enabling policies and institutional systems for enhanced outcomes of investments in the human capital services and programs.
