Illika Sahu is a Disaster Risk Management Specialist focused on SAR, with cross support to urban projects in SAR and Africa. She has been involved in the design and implementation of lending investments including Climate Adaptation and Resilience for South Asia, State Partnership for the Resilient Kerala Program, Punjab Municipal Services Improvement Project, and Emergency Multi-Sector Rohingya Crisis Response. Illika has also provided specific advisory services to governments regarding disruptive tech, resilient infrastructure, and enhancing resilience. Prior to the Bank Illika was a transportation and environmental planner in infrastructure consulting. Illika holds a Masters in Urban Planning and International Development from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science in Urban Studies from Cornell University. She has previous experience working in the US, Nepal, Singapore, and India.
