Indira Chand is a Senior Communications Officer with the Global Indicators Group at The World Bank in Washington D.C. Prior to joining the Bank in 2010, she spent over two decades working with public and private sector organizations in the Middle East, including the Central Bank of Bahrain. She began her career as a journalist, writing for such titles as The Banker and Gulf Daily News, and specializing in diverse areas, including business and finance, human and labor rights, as well as issues related to women and migrant workers.
