Ingrid Sanchez Tapia is UNICEF’s global lead for climate and education. She has led global initiatives on digital learning, gender equality in education, and universalization of secondary education, and she has also provided leadership at country level, in Latin America and MENA. She has authored and coordinated UNICEF’s global approaches to Climate & Education, Secondary Education, STEM for girls, and Girls’ Education in Emergencies. She worked for over a decade supporting Ministries of Education in their curricular reform efforts and national-level initiatives on teachers’ professional development. She has been a professor of Education in various countries: the United States, Colombia, Panama, and Chile, amongst others.
