Iona Lee works on the Nordic and Baltic desk, as part of the external relations European team based in Paris, and as such helps manage and monitor the Bank’s relationship with the Nordic and Baltic shareholders, and beyond.
With a background in publications, communications and international relations, she began work with the Nordic and Baltic portfolio five years ago after formative stints as assistant to the Director for Europe and previously as part of the media monitoring team. Iona joined the World Bank in 2009 and has studied social psychology, French and translation. She was active as a sounding board member in the Bank’s mental health and well-being strategy during COVID-19 and continues to be involved as part of the committee tasked with the strategy’s implementation.
