Irum Touqeer is a Public Sector Specialist in Macroeconomic, Trade and Investment Global Practice of the World Bank. For the past twelve years, Irum has worked in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Algeria, and Sahel countries. She has worked on a range of economic and governance reforms, including tax policy and administration, growth and development, performance management, accountability institutions and systems, and regional trade and integration. She has also authored different policy papers on some of these areas. She is leading tax and public sector management projects. Prior to her above assignments with the Bank, Irum worked with the United Nations Development Programme.
