Isaiah Chol Aruai is the Chairperson of the National Bureau of Statistics of the Republic of South Sudan. He assumed leadership of the national statistical office in 2006, prior to the independence of South Sudan.
Aruai is a graduate of Khartoum University in Sudan and Glasgow University in the United Kingdom. He is currently a member of the governing board of the Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development, a member of the Regional Advisory Board of East Africa Statistical Training Centre, and a member of the International Statistical Institute.
