Israel Osorio Rodarte is an economist in the Trade and Regional Integration Unit of the World Bank. His professional interests lie in the areas of international trade, structural change and in the distributional analysis of economic policy. He has participated in development projects for a large number of countries working for think tanks and international organizations such as the German Development Institute, the OCDE, United Nations, the World Bank, and the Inter- American Development Bank. He has published in the Review of Development Economics, the Journal of Policy Modelling, the Journal of African Economies, the Journal of Economic Integration and World Development and Energy Economics. He is a regular contributor to flagship publications from the World Bank. He is a post-graduate alumnus from Georgetown University and Tecnológico de Monterrey. He lives in Washington, D.C.
