Jacob Burke is a Lead Irrigation Specialist in the Water Global Practice at the World Bank. He has over 30 years experience in irrigation and water resource management with engineering consultants, drilling contractors, the UN Secretariat (Technical Adviser, Groundwater) and FAO (Senior Water Policy Officer). His current focus of work for the World Bank is on making irrigation accountable and competitive - and reducing the long term production risk with more responsible use of groundwater.
