Jacqueline Manisabwe is a Senior Social Protection Specialist in the World Bank’s Social Protection and Jobs Global Practice based in Burundi. She supported the successful implementation of the first Burundi Social Safety Nets project in Burundi, running since 2018. Her work focuses on women’s empowerment, forced displacement, and youth employment. In addition, she co-leads the Development Response to Displacement Impact Project (DRDIP) in Uganda. Prior to joining the Bank, she worked for various international and private sector organizations including the International Rescue Committee, the Catholic Relief Services, and ENABEL.
She holds a master’s in e-business management from the University of Picardie Jules Verne (France) and a bachelor's degree in law from Burundi University.
