Jahanzaib Sohail MBBS, MBA, MSPH, MHEcon, is a Health Economist in the Global Practice for Health, Nutrition and Population at the World Bank Group. He is working as team member in National Immunization Support Project (NISP), Pandemic Response Effectiveness in Pakistan (PREP), Sindh Enhancing Response to Reduce Stunting Project (SERRSP) and in series of Advisory Services and Analytics.
His main areas of interest involve economic evaluation of health care projects, health economic modelling and data analytics, national health accounts, domestic resource mobilization, and analyzing the impact of country’s health financing policies in the context of universal health coverage.
Prior to his career in the Bank, he has worked as Medical Activity Manager in Médecins Sans Frontieres and Deputy Director in PPHI Sindh partnered with Government of Sindh, Pakistan. He has also consulted with different government bodies, UN agencies and INGOs on a local and global basis in regard to public health, health management and health financing.
