Jahanzaib Sohail is a Senior Health Economist at the World Bank's Health, Nutrition, and Population Global Practice. He leads the Health Program of Advisory Services and Analytics for Pakistan, overseeing lending operations and supporting regional health financing initiatives. His expertise includes developing health financing frameworks and strategies within the context of universal health coverage, domestic resource mobilization for health, strategic purchasing, and public financial management for health. Prior to joining the Bank in 2019, he worked with various government bodies, UN agencies, and INGOs, addressing public health, health management, and health financing on both local and global scales. Sohail holds a medical degree, a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Science in Public Health, a Master of Health Economics, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Public Health specializing in health economics and financing at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
