Dr. Md. Jahirul Islam, Director-General/Project Director, Emergency Cyclone Recovery and Restoration Project (ECRRP): Project Coordination and Monitoring Unit (PCMU), worked in 19 government agencies in different categories. A Ph. D. from Moscow State University, Moscow, Russia, Dr. Islam is the writer of the book “Emergence of Bangladesh: Socio-Economic and Political Causes” published in 1983. He reviewed the novel “Snake Dance in Berlin” written by Dr. Ronny Noor, published in 2009. He has also some articles in his credit written in the newspapers and journals. His wide experience in project formulation and management in the socio-economic sector has benefitted the implementation of ECRRP.
