Jameela Pedicini

Executive Director, Climate Finance Initiatives, Bloomberg LP

Jameela manages and leads the Secretariat for the Climate Finance Leadership Initiative, formed at the request of UN Secretary-General António Guterres and chaired by Michael R. Bloomberg, focusing on mobilizing private finance to address the challenge of climate change through accelerating investments in clean energy and low-carbon opportunities globally. She also supports the development of environmental, social, and governance (ESG)-related products and services for Bloomberg clients. 

Jameela brings over 10 years of experience working with institutional investors on sustainable finance and impact investing. Prior to joining Bloomberg, she was an Executive Director and Co-Head of Mission Aligned Investing at Perella Weinberg Partners’ outsourced Chief Investment Officer (CIO) business, PWP Agility. Prior to this, she served as Harvard Management Company’s inaugural Vice President of Sustainable Investing. She was previously an Investment Officer at the California Public Employees’ Retirement System where she led the development and implementation of a variety of strategic ESG integration initiatives across the investment fund. Before working in the U.S., Jameela worked in London for the UN Principles for Responsible Investment where she led shareholder engagement on boardroom gender diversity, labor practices, and human rights issues.

Jameela is a member of the board of directors of the International Women’s Health Coalition and the Crane Institute of Sustainability and previously served on the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board.

She holds an MPhil from the University of Oxford, an MSc from the University of Amsterdam, and a BA from Antioch University. She also holds the CFA Society of the UK Investment Management Certificate.
