James is a video editor and motion graphics artist for the World Bank’s Broadcast and Multimedia group in Washington, D.C.  While studying in Italy during his junior year of university, James was injured in an accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down. Despite the shock of the injury and time needed to recover, he graduated from Georgetown University with a bachelor of arts in history only one semester later than expected. After the injury and to this day, an army of family, friends, and colleagues has helped James ease back into society and turn his talent for art into a profession. James gained experience in television production working for several production companies based in Washington, D.C., and has helped to edit and create graphics for Discovery, History, and National Geographic cable television channels. He has worked for the World Bank External and Corporate Relations since 2011, specializing in animated videos on various development topics.
