James Knuckles is a consultant at ESMAP where he helps manage the Global Facility on Mini Grids, a program that supports the development of around 3,000 mini grids in over 40 countries around the world. His expertise is in off-grid energy technologies, particularly solar home systems and mini grids. He has previously worked with the U.S. Department of Energy, a global solar products company, and start-up social enterprises in California, Honduras, and Haiti.
