Jamila is a Digital Communications Specialist. She has worked at the World Bank Group since 2019. She has experience developing and implementing communications, marketing, and social media strategies.
Before joining the World Bank, Jamila worked as a Communications and Outreach Coordinator at prominent non-profit organizations in Washington D.C, including Results for Development and the World Cocoa Foundation. She began as a Media Analyst at the Securities and Exchange Commission in Abuja. Subsequently, she transitioned to a communications role at the Federal Ministry of Communication Technology where she worked as a civil servant.
Jamila has a master’s degree in communications from Trinity Washington University, D.C, a bachelor’s in mass communications from Igbinedion University Okada, Nigeria and a graduate certificate from Seneca College in Toronto, Canada.
