Practice Manager for Digital Transformation in West and Central Africa

Jana Kunicová is Practice Manager for Digital Transformation in West and Central Africa at the World Bank.  Since joining the Bank in 2006, Jana has worked on various aspects of digital transformation and public sector reform, including automating service delivery and government systems, strategic planning at the center of government, and change management. She has led teams to deliver lending operations, helped develop country strategies, and authored major analytical reports, including a global flagship on public sector innovations in the developing world.  Her work took her to over 70 countries across Africa, Eastern Europe, and Central and East Asia; outside HQ, she has held field postings in Malaysia, South Africa, Kenya, and Senegal.  Jana holds a PhD in political economy from Yale University.  When not working to drive digital transformation, she is most likely outside with her family enjoying the outdoors, or training for her next triathlon.
