Janelle Plummer is currently working as an independent consultant focusing on climate action and climate governance. Before retiring from the World Bank she worked in the Social Sustainability and Inclusion and the Governance Global Practices in the ECA and EAP Regions. Janelle has worked on participatory development, local governance, anticorruption and civil society engagement for 30 years, has led large and complex World Bank operations in governance and community-driven development, and authored various papers and publications on local government citizen engagement and tackling corruption. Janelle has a Masters Degree in international development from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London and a Bachelors Degree from the University of New South Wales.
