Jason leads the Water and Finance Global Solutions Group of the World Bank’s Water Global Practice that works to enhance private sector participation in the water sector and to close the financing gap in the implementation of national water security and climate adaptation programs.
Jason has more than 25 years of experience and expertise across the infrastructure development value chain from upstream policy work, midstream project preparation and development, to downstream project financing, structuring, and credit enhancement solutions in developing countries. He also served as Lead Operations Officer and Program Manager for the Umbrella Trust Fund at the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR). Previously he was the Head of Global Infrastructure Facility (GIF) where he led the GIF to grow from a start-up facility to one of the largest funds dedicated to the infrastructure project/program preparation and structuring with private participation or financing in developing countries.
Prior to the GIF, Jason was Senior Underwriter with the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) at the World Bank Group where he led the structuring and execution of risk mitigation solutions for private sector clients on a broad range of complex infrastructure projects worldwide including a number of transformational infrastructure projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to the World Bank Group, Jason worked with Bank of America in its Global Project Finance Group, ABB Energy Capital, and State Street Company on renewable energy investments and enterprise risk management. Jason holds graduate degrees from Yale University, Central European University (Prague), and Peking University in China.
