Jayanti Bhatia is a Consultant in the Education Global Practice, where her work primarily focuses on teacher professional development and positive learning environments for students and teachers. She has worked with diverse stakeholders, especially on projects around the holistic development of children across vast socio-economic spectrums, including India, South Africa, the US, and Zimbabwe. Jayanti specializes in research, technical support, program management, and product management. She supports her projects to enhance the empirical and operational knowledge base by developing operation-friendly Global Public Goods for policymakers and practitioners.
Before joining the Bank, Jayanti worked in the private sector for seven years at the intersection of operations and technology projects in the pharmaceuticals industry. She also led several education initiatives, including establishing and scaling her firms' Education Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in India. Jayanti holds an Ed.M. in International Education Policy from Harvard University and a Bachelor's in Physics Honors from Delhi University.
