Jean-Francois Maystadt is a development economist and senior lecturer at the Department of Economics, Lancaster University Management School. He specializes in the study of conflicts, natural disasters and forced migration. Currently, his research focuses on the causes and consequences of conflicts and forced migration in Central Africa (Democratic Rep of Congo), Eastern Africa (Tanzania, Somalia, South Sudan, Horn of Africa), Asia (China, Nepal), and the Arab world.
