Jeevakumar Govindasamy is a Public Sector Management Specialist with the World Bank Group. He is based in Kuala Lumpur at the World Bank Global Knowledge and Research Hub. Under the Governance Global Practice, he focuses on a broad range analytical work related to Public Sector and Institutions, specializing in national development planning systems and public sector administrative systems, including civil service modernization. Countries he has worked on includes South East Asia countries and also Seychelles. He is one of the team leads for the South East Asia Community of Practice for National Development Planning. Prior to joining the World Bank, he was with the public sector for more than ten years, serving in key agencies under the Prime Minister’s Department, focusing on public sector administrative modernization, economic and institutional reforms and also national skills development initiatives. He holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore (NUS).
