Jeff Tanner is a Senior Economist with the Poverty and Equity Global Practice, and is currently posted to the World Bank - UNHCR Joint Data Center on Forced Displacement where he is the focal point for some 20 JDC activities covering all JDC objectives and regions. His research interests include forced displacement and migration, poverty and inequality, early childhood and education, maternal and child and health, and survey and sampling design in complex settings. Prior to joining the JDC, Jeff was the results lead for the Global Financing Facility and the Health Results Innovation Trust Fund; led the impact evaluation portfolio at the World Bank’s Independent Evaluation Group, and was an economist with the Millennium Challenge Corporation. Jeff holds a PhD in applied economics from RAND, an MPA/ID in development economics from Harvard University, and a BS in both economics and international development from Brigham Young University.
