Jelena Lukic is a Senior Social Development Specialist at the World Bank, focusing on social risk management, labor, and gender issues in large infrastructure and Just Transition projects. She also works on integrating ESG issues in financial intermediaries’ operations. Her experience spans across Europe and Central Asia, Middle East and Africa. Jelena published “Addressing Environmental and Social Challenges in Large Infrastructure Projects: the TANAP case study.” Jelena initially joined the World Bank Group at IFC, where she worked as a Social Investment Specialist in oil, gas and mining sectors. She was a member of the team which developed the Financial Valuation Tool for Sustainability Investments. Jelena received a MALD in international business and international negotiations from the Fletcher School, Tufts University, and she holds a degree in psychology from the University of Belgrade.
