Jestina T. Sartee is a Director at the Bureau of Early Childhood Education, Ministry of Education, Republic of Liberia. Her role is to provide, strategic leadership for the ministry’s quality management system for the Early Childhood Portfolio to facilitate ongoing performance improvement in Liberia and develop systems in accordance with international best practices as well as utilizing various approaches to ensure continuous improvement and maintenance. Prior to this role, Jestina worked with Save the Children International as an education field supervision and focal person for early childhood education where she served as liaison between the local office of the Ministry of Education in Margibi County and Save the Children. Part of her role was to collect qualitative and quantitative information/data to feed into the M&E education system and to measure the impact of the various activities implemented by the organization. In 2011, she was a key member of Save the Children’s Education team providing emergency response to the Ivorian Refugee in Grand Gedeh County. Jestina has many years of experience working in the education sector of Liberia both in emergencies and development programs. She has a master’s in Education Leadership, Management and Policy from Beijing Normal University, Beijing, China.
