Jiemin Ren is a consultant at the World Bank’s Chief Economist Office for South Asia and the Finance, Competitiveness & Innovation Global Practice in the African region. She works on the South Asia Economic Focus and a wide range of financial stability issues, including preparing financial sector monitor notes, developing banking stress testing, and the World Bank’s engagement with the Financial Stability Board (FSB). Jiemin is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at American University, with a research focus on public finance and macroeconomics. Prior to her Ph.D., Jiemin received a master in Public Policy from Georgetown University and previously worked with the International Monetary Fund.
