Jihae Kwon is an Environmental Economist in the World Bank’s Environment Department. In her current role, she leads strategic knowledge engagements and policy dialogues on natural resources management and environmental governance across the South Asia Region. Before joining the World Bank, Jihae served as an Economist at the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), where she developed tools for measuring biodiversity impacts and provided policy advice on climate-smart agriculture, forestry, and fisheries. Her international experience includes research collaboration based in Bolivia with the Korean Rural Development Administration and Bolivia’s Instituto Nacional de Innovación Agropecuaria y Forestal, focusing on agricultural innovation. Jihae holds a Master’s degree in Development Economics.
